Hamilton High School  —- 12/10/2010

Interactive demonstrations of interesting psychological principles, such as the Stroop effect and power poses, with two high school psychology classes at Hamilton High School in Culver City. We also discussed the various areas of psychology (cognitive, social, health, neuroscience) and interesting research being done in each area.

Psych in Action member Tristen Inagaki leads members of the Hamilton High School AP Psychology class through "lift offs", easy exercises designed by UCLA professor Toni Yancey to get people up and active in schools and the workplace.

Two students complete the "color Stroop effect", an illustration of a classic principle in cognitive psychology.

Psych in Action members Adi Jaffe, Tristen Inagaki, and Alexandra Dupont lead a discussion.
